Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He combines soul gospel with R&B in a distinct mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta Her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop as a musician by playing and singing in the church. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on the local R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12, came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live shows. The singer also contributed her voice on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. In 2005she took on the role of the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 invited her to serve as the leader of the choral group for this stage show. Sunshine came to national attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was eventually invited to sing for the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
