Jazz singer Nancy Wilson a three-time Grammy Award winner was born February 20, 1937, in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio. Her parents were ironworker Olden Wilson and his wife Lillian Ryan who worked as domestic helper. Nancy Wilson was only baby of six. Nancy was heavily influenced in her early years by the music her dad was a fan of and played at his home. When she was just 4years old, Nancy was aware her destiny was to be an artist. Cannonball suggested that she move in New York and go to The Big Town to further her professional career. She was commissioned to perform in The Blue Morocco Night Club located in The Bronx which was where her agent had heard her.
